Brook Tubbs, MFT Practicum Intern
One of my favorite parts of being a therapist is getting to know people. I’m naturally curious, and I love helping clients make sense of the patterns, experiences, and relationships that have shaped who they are. Some sessions are full of reflection, others are full of laughter, and I believe both have an important place in therapy.
I believe the relationship between the client and therapist is one of the strongest predictors of successful therapy. My goal is to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are, without feeling like you have to filter yourself or have everything figured out. While I’ll bring my training and perspective, you remain the expert on your own life. You set the goals, and together we’ll figure out what moving forward looks like for you.
My style is warm, collaborative, and honest. I’ll celebrate your wins, sit with you through difficult moments, and gently challenge you when I believe it will help you grow. Therapy can be both hard and enjoyable, I don’t think those things have to exist separately.
My hope is that you leave therapy with greater self-awareness, practical tools, and confidence in your ability to navigate life’s challenges. I’m especially passionate about supporting parents. I believe that when parents feel supported and empowered, it creates a ripple effect that can positively shape an entire family for years to come.
